How do I apply for a property?
The application forms can be downloaded here for you to print and complete or you can request the forms and we will send them out to you.
How long does a tenancy last?
The minimum term is 6 months which is followed by a periodic tenancy. This means that you do not need to do anything if you want to stay, you just need to tell us if you wish to leave.
Who can rent from Space Property?
Anyone who passes a credit check and referencing check.
What other fees will I need to pay?
You will need to pay a bond, which is usually 125% of one month's rent and an admin fee of £90, which is payable at the sign up.
What insurance do I need?
The insurance that your landlord has should cover the building itself but you should get contents insurance to cover your own possessions.
How often will my rent be increased?
Rents are reviewed every 12 months but not always increased, it will depend on market values in your area.
Your rent may be increased after 6 months, if you have taken a property at a low rent as an introductory offer, but you will be aware of this before you sign the tenancy agreement.
What do I need to do before I move in?
Make sure you have the necessary deposit and first month’s rent in cash, bankers draft or a building society cheque. You also need to tell service providers like electricity providers or water authorities that you will be paying bills at the property.
How do I terminate my agreement?
After the initial period of six months, you need to give us four weeks notice in writing.
When will I get my bond back when I leave the property?
Usually within 14 days
What happens if I have a problem in the property?
